Arrived at a home in the Harbor Lake Estates community in Titusville where the homeowner had called with a persistent sewer odor in the front yard and slow drains inside, but when we went to locate the clean-out access point to run the camera, there was not one anywhere on the property. The original construction on this home had been done without a proper exterior clean-out installation, which meant any time there was a drain issue it required interior access or excavation just to diagnose it. Installed a new exterior clean-out at the junction of the main lateral just outside the foundation, ran the camera through the new access point to inspect the line, confirmed no active obstruction was present, and located the source of the odor as a deteriorated vent pipe cap above the roofline. Replaced the vent cap and confirmed the odor cleared. Homeowner now has proper access for any future service.
