Water Heater Services
Salt air is relentless on Cocoa Beach water heaters. It works into the tank fittings, the connections, and the burner assembly, and it corrodes them faster than anything a homeowner inland ever deals with. That's why Burton Plumbing leads with water heater work here — because in a beach town, a heater that "seems fine" can be closer to failure than it looks. Our licensed techs handle water heater repair on tank and tankless units, chasing down corrosion leaks, dead heating elements, failing thermostats, and the sediment that coastal water leaves behind. We'll also tell you the truth about age: if the corrosion has gone too far, we'll lay out repair versus replacement.
Cast Iron Pipe Replacement
Underneath the older cottages and canal-front homes of Cocoa Beach, the original cast iron is quietly rusting away — and the coastal humidity means it's corroding from the outside as fast as from the inside. Left alone, that ends in a slab leak or a backup you'll smell before you see. Burton Plumbing gets ahead of it. A camera inspection shows us exactly which runs are scaling shut and where the joints have given up, and from there we replace the failing pipe with materials that shrug off the salt-air environment. Permits, inspections, cleanup — all handled, so the only thing you notice is that the problem's gone for good.
Sewer Line Repair
Shifting sand and a high coastal water table don't do your sewer line any favors. In Cocoa Beach, that combination cracks lines, pulls joints out of alignment, and invites the kind of backups that announce themselves through every drain at once. Before anyone touches a shovel, we send a camera inspection down the line so we know precisely what we're fixing and where. Sometimes that means a small spot repair; sometimes a full sewer line replacement; often it means a trenchless fix that never disturbs your yard at all. Whatever the answer, it's built to hold up to the coast.
Drain Cleaning
Sand gets everywhere at the beach, including your drains — and mixed with grease and soap, it builds into clogs that a plunger won't touch. Burton Plumbing clears them properly. A quick clog gets snaked; a line packed with years of buildup gets hydro-jetting, which blasts the walls clean instead of just poking a hole through the middle. If the same drain keeps quitting on you, that's your plumbing telling you something bigger is wrong, and a camera inspection finds it. You'll get honest tips on keeping sand and grease out of the lines, too.
Faucets, Toilets & Gas
The little stuff adds up fast in a beach house. A faucet that's dripping salty humidity all day, a toilet that runs every night, a gas line feeding the range or the pool heater — all of it deserves a licensed hand. Burton Plumbing repairs and replaces faucets and toilets across Cocoa Beach, working with every major brand so most jobs are one and done, and we'll steer you toward fixtures that use less water and resist coastal wear. On the gas side, our natural gas piping work is inspected, pressure-tested, and done strictly to code — because near the water, there's zero room for "good enough."

Arrived on site and met with tenant and stated that their guest bathroom was backing up, whenever you would flush the toilet, you would hear it gargle in the kitchen sink. After flushing, the toilet a few times, It finally filled up in the bowl, indicating that there was a blockage on this side of the house. Since it had just rained and they had a metal roof it was unsafe for me to get up there for the time being, so in order for my to clear the line I would need to pull the guest bathroom toilet. Pulled up to a seafood restaurant in Cocoa Beach where the kitchen manager said the grease interceptor had been serviced recently but one of the inlet baffles had cracked during the last pump-out and grease was now bypassing the interceptor and going straight into the municipal drain line. The restaurant had already received a notice from the county requiring documentation of the repair. Accessed the interceptor, removed the cracked baffle assembly, installed a replacement baffle with a properly sealed fitting, and ran water through the inlet to confirm the flow was entering the interceptor correctly and not bypassing. Provided the kitchen manager with a written repair summary to submit with their county response. Got them back into compliance before the weekend lunch service.
